The question about my post-graduation plans has been coming up a lot recently. Now that I'm done with school everyone is curious as to what's next. Originally we were set to move back to Austin at the end of our lease in September. Then there was a change of plans on account of several different things. So, instead we will stick around for one more year to save up for our big move. Also, we're now looking to Charlotte rather than Austin. With the uncertainty of the airline industry we've decided that moving to a hub rather than a small field station would be a smarter move. Of course neither of us has ever been outside the airport in Charlotte, so this is all pending actual visitation. Although I admit it would be cool to move to a city based on the lovely landscape you experience on the final decent or on the fact that the airport has the nicest rocking chairs in the central food court area, it wouldn't be prudent.
I think it's a bittersweet decision for us. On the one hand, we've been looking forward to going back to Austin for the last year and postponing the move seems like a setback. On the other hand, we're excited to go somewhere that's new to both of us, a place we can get on with our lives and start a family together, making our own memories. So the next year will find us working lots of hours and researching our move. We'll also continue to enjoy some more desert sunsets on our balcony, which is quite possibly one of the only things we like about living out here.
Hey, I bet you were expecting me to talk about what I planned to do with that crazy BFA of mine (still pending the results of this summer school math class, of course). Well, that's a post for another time as I still don't have a definitive plan for that yet and when in doubt procrastinate, right?
